belonging and ownership
an invitation to visit and conversation
I warmly invite professionals, researchers, students, and all those with an interest in trauma, systemic care, language, and poetics to visit and experience the ongoing work with excuse me.
This project explores how a child’s life is recorded, interpreted, and controlled – not by the child herself, but by those around her: social workers, health professionals, teachers, psychologists, family members, and police. Based entirely on authentic documents, the book reconstructs a life through a hybrid form of poetry, documentation, and systemic critique.
The project runs from 2025 to 2028, and will be developed in close dialogue with the material, institutions, and the public.
If you are curious about:
– How systems describe vulnerability
– How language becomes a form of power
– The tension between care and control
– Poetic strategies for re-owning a life
– Or if you simply want to see, hear and witness the material
…you are welcome.
I offer individual study visits, small group conversations, and quiet reading sessions of both documents and method. The project may be particularly relevant to those working within child welfare, psychology, pedagogy, literature, critical trauma studies, and ethics in documentation.
Location: Gyldenpris Kunsthall, Bergen
Language: Norwegian or English
Duration: By agreement – short visits or deeper sessions possible.
Come as you are. With expertise or doubt, grief or curiosity.
